Changes to identity checking guidelines

The DBS has announced that identity checking guidelines have been amended to say that adoption certificates are to be treated the same as an original birth certificate and that EU driving licences are to be treated the same as a UK issued driving licence. We have also been made aware that the DBS is looking into this further and we will, of course, keep you advised should any further changes be made.

As of 1 July our online application form has an amendment to step 5 and you will be able to use an adoption certificate or an EU driving licence as a Group 1 document when checking the identification documents of your applicants.
